Mikko Ilonen assumes an operational role in Sportyard

Stockholm, Sweden/Lahti, Finland – January 10, 2020

Finland’s greatest golfer of all times and successful Sportyard (formally Sportyard International AB | www.sportyard.com) client since the beginning of the Millennium, Mikko Ilonen, has assumed the operational role as Client Ambassador.

Mikko retired from his active playing career in March of last year. He has five victories on the PGA European Tour and several as an amateur. The height of his amateur career was his victory in the Amateur Championship in the year 2000.

JC RITCHIE TEES UP IN EUROPE AFTER SECOND WIN ON TOUR

In the middle of August 2018 JC won the Sun Carnival City Challenge at Ebotse Links. He opened with a 64 and led from start to finish to claim his second victory on Tour and climb to 206 in the Official World Golf Rankings.

The week after (this past weekend), at the Vodacom Origins (also on the Sunshine Tour), JC finished tied 3rd, one shot out of a play-off.

Jens starts the season with second place

Jens Fahrbring, who this year will be focusing on the Challenge Tour and mixing in a few European Tour events, started the Challenge Tour season by finishing second after a tough playoff against Lorenzo Gagli in Barclays Kenya Open.
 
Jens started the week in the middle of the field and made it into the weekend just two shots clear of the cut-line after rounds of 72 and 70, six shots behind Gagli.

Jin Jeong is a winner again!

It has been no secret that the 2010 Amateur Champion Jin Jeong's past three years have been a struggle on the golf course. Jin, who won the 2013 ISPS Handa Perth International on the European Tour and followed that up with a T18 in the WGC-HSBC Champions just two weeks later, got an injury mid-season 2014 which not only affected him physically, but also mentally.
