Jin is going to the Open, again

Jin played outstanding golf tee to green over the Royal Johannesburg & Kensington lay out. The traditional course set up well for Jin Jeong – and with the assistance of a few bounces – he could easily have gone one better…
But he did not leave empty handed. His tied 2nd finish granted him a spot in the oldest Championship. He will return to The British Linksland – a place he cherishes.
Following his historic triumph at Muirfield, when he became the first Asian born Amateur Champion, and his Silver Medal winning performance at the Home of Golf in 2010 (top amateur in the Open Championship, finishing in style with an eagle 2 at the famous 18th), he has the credentials and the reverence to feature late on Sunday in July at Royal Liverpool.
Jin’s passion for links golf will make him an Open Championship regular for a long time to come. Cannot wait for the British summer…
