Niklas is a former child-prodigy. He created quite a stir when, as a 13 year old, he excelled at the national senior level in Sweden. Since then he has progressed through the amateur ranks and has the best record (to date) of any Swede playing college golf in the United States (ranked No 1 in March -07). He played for Arizona State University, where his coach Randy Lein labeled him ´the best player I have ever coached´.

He won the American Junior Golf Association Polo Junior Classic in Florida in 2002 and was the first Swede to do this. He represented Sweden in the Eisenhower Trophy (World Amateur) twice.

Niklas has played for Sweden at all levels as an amateur and won the national titles in his age group no less than 5 times.

He has represented Europe in the Jacque Leglise Trophy a tournament where the GB&I boys team take on the European boys team

Since turning professional in the fall of 2007, he has already recorded his maiden win in the Desert Series in Arizona, USA and has recorded a couple of top 10s on the Nationwide Tour.

Niklas looks after his game meticulously, which might have something to do with having a father who is a PGA Teaching Professional. Niklas is a perfect example of the modern athletic golfer. He is in excellent shape and he hits it far, maybe further than any of his peers. He ranked No 1 for Driving Distance on the Nationwide Tour in the USA. Despite hitting it an amazing 323 yards (on average!), he still manages to find the fairway 65% of the time. And he still maintains that his strength is his short-game.

He now plies his trade on the European Challenge Tour.
