It all started through sibling rivalry, both Soren’s brother and sister played which got him in to the game at a very early age. From there it moved on to watching the highlights of the Majors with his brother in the local cinema and the final piece of inspiration was walking, whilst representing the Danish junior golf team in France, the final 18 holes at the French Open to watch Nick Faldo. His first taste of stardom was representing Denmark in the Eisenhower Trophy in the early 90’s. Turned Pro in 1995, qualified for the European Tour via the Challenge Tour in 1997 and has been on tour ever since. He recorded his first European Tour victory at Gleneagles in 2003, he won in Spain at the Volvo Masters in 2008, which propelled him into 47th place in the World rankings and a top 10 finish that year in the European Tour Order of merit. He continued his love affair with Spain by winning the Open de Andalucía in 2009 before recording his best finish in a Major – sixth at the US PGA. 2009 was a great summer seeing him climb to 31st in the OWGR Has recorded a further 38 top ten finishes on the PGA European Tour outside of his victories.
